Architect Burton Hersh is Managing Principal of Burton Hersh, P.A. and an award-winning designer. Burton supervises each of the firm’s projects through a studio approach from beginning to end, ensuring that the team has the necessary support to execute project deadlines and goals on time and on budget. He is highly experienced with comprehensive knowledge in developing corporate, retail, mixed-use and hospitality projects from conception through construction. His leadership extends beyond his executive responsibilities as managing principal and includes active participation in design, planning, and leveraging the studio team’s technical expertise in all project phases. He has volunteered his expertise on the Board of Architects at the City of Coral Gables, and as President of the Business Improvement District of Coral Gables, where he also chaired the Miracle Mile & Giralda Avenue Streetscape Project Committee. Burton Hersh’s offices are located on the second floor of one of the converted historical storefronts on Miracle Mile, which is the main street of Downtown Coral Gables, now a more pedestrian-friendly urban space after the implementation of the project. His dream is the realization of the city Newport in the Republic of Panama. An intervention of industry, tourism and people in an area of great natural beauty under the concept that a built environment may coexist in harmony with nature.
